Ennis boys looking for first win

Ennis was on the wrong end of two games at a weekend tournament at Midlothian Heritage, but the margin of defeat revealed a silver lining behind the dark clouds of a winless season. Following a 66-point drubbing at the hands of Waxahachie (7-1) ten days ago, the Lions came up just short against Waco LaVega, 67-62, then dropped a 57-47 decision to Grapevine. The Class 5A Mustangs are 12-2. The setbacks sunk the team record to 0-6 with a pair of tough contests on the horizon. Tuesday night, Dec. 4, they were at Life High School (6-2) in Waxahachie. Team Maroon now has a week off before a trek to Mansfield to meet Legacy (7-2) next Tuesday, Dec. 11.
