Ennis ground assault buries Jacksonville, 57-0

On a night in which the only thing that could stop No. 14 Ennis from further crushing Jacksonville was a seemingly endless homecoming halftime show. The Lions scored early and often in a 57-0 rout in the district opener for both teams.

The victory ended a two-game skid for Ennis, who are now 2-2 on the season. Jacksonville, 1-3, had no rebuttal for a Lions ground game that churned out 444 yards. They averaged 11 yards every time they toted the oblong.
