Ennis names volleyball coaching staff

Ennis volleyball moved closer to the start of pre-season camp, which is set for August 1, when Head Coach Kelly Henderson named two assistant coaches for the 2018 campaign. Anjeanette Robinson-Mays returns as her top assistant, with new softball coach Karah Kinder joining as well. Mays will head-up the junior varsity team while Kinder takes the reins of the freshman squad. In six weeks the staff will evaluate the talent at camp, when all three team rosters will be determined. The trio of coaches expect strong interest if the number of players participating on off-season club teams is any indication. Henderson is experiencing a youth movement on the varsity, where two seniors, Cynthia Esquivel and Audrey Beakley, along with sophomore Marlee Hopkins, form the nucleus. LaDerria Myers, a junior, is another returning veteran. Read stories like this and more in your latest edition of The Ennis News. Be informed, subscribe today!
