Ennis cross country athletes took advantage of the home turf and sunny conditions on Saturday where the varsity boys and girls earned second place and fourth place finishes at the annual Lions Den Invitational at Jaycee Park. Two boys, Stoney Duke and Ulises Herrera both sprinted to a Top 10 finish, with Duke, a sophomore, was third and was clocked at 17:13 in the 3K event. Herrera was 6th at 17:58.
