Ferris trio getting their kicks
Ferris soccer stars, from left, Alexis Palos, Heriberto Diaz and Yair Gonzalez are having themselves a stellar season, each appearing on the Metroplex’s top-10 scoring list. Yellow jackets are known to be more aggressive and at their pestiest in late summer or early fall. In nearby Ferris, however, there is a trio whose sting is most notable in late winter and early spring. A year after the boys soccer team racked up a 12-8-2 record and scored 43 goals, this year’s predatory social wasps are 12-5-2 and, with 85 goals, are packing quite a scoring punch. Three players are leading the way for the highest goals per game average, 4.7, among all teams in the Metroplex.
