Former Ennis guard goes 4-for-4 beyond the arc

Former Ennis guard Kiara Glenn scored 20 points on Thursday to lift the Southwestern Assemblies of God University women’s basketball team to an 85-83 road win over Mid America Christian University (5-4). The freshman drained a three-point basket to give the Lady Lions a 70-68 lead with 4:45 remaining. They would never trail again. She iced the outcome by sinking a pair of free throws with seven seconds to go for an 85-80 SAGU advantage. The Lady Lions, then 5-4, trailed by 13 twice (22-9, 31-18) in the first half before rallying to within 35-31 at the break when Glenn swished a late trey. She delivered another triple to knot the score at 42 before her layup in transition gave the Purple Pride a 49-47 lead. Read this story and more in your Weekday edition of The Ennis News.
