Glenn named conference top freshman First in SAGU history to win the honor

In a vote among league coaches, former Ennis basketball player Kiara Glenn was named the Freshman of the Year in the Sooner Athletic Conference this week. The guard started 22 of 27 games and helped lead Southwestern Assemblies of God University to a 14-14 regular season record. The Lady Lions are in the SAC, considered the toughest conference in the NAIA. They improved over last year’s 11-16 mark, the second in Head Coach Tiffany Phillips’ three years. They were 18-14 in her first campaign. Glenn averaged 11.2 points per game and topped the team in assists with 94. The point guard was second in steals (25) and third in three-point baskets made (27). She converted 65-of-91 free throws. Read stories like this and more in your latest edition of The Ennis News.
