Graham, Ennis no-hit Bulls in 10-0 rout

Ennis took to the road on Tuesday and found the 102-mile trek northwest to Bridgeport of no effect in a 10-0 Lions victory in which Drew Graham fired a no-hitter. The junior right-hander went all five innings before the game was called on the 10-run mercy rule. He threw just 59 pitches, walked two and whiffed five, including the final out of the game. It was the second hitless gem of the season for the Lions as it followed Kade Bragg’s no-no a week ago against Keller Central. Connor Holer took the loss for the Bulls. He remained in the game despite trailing 5-0 through four. Ennis buried him with a 5-spot in the fifth. For the game the visitors racked up a dozen hits to go along with two walks. A three-run first set the pace for the game, with No. 5 hitter Chris McDonald ripping a 2-2 pitch for a two-run single. Read stories like this and more in your latest edition of The Ennis News.
