HC Tina Richards and the meteoric rising Italy softball team (38-3) split the first two games in their three-game series with Crawford this week. The Lady Gladiators, ranked No. 3 in the state, won the opener by a 3-1 count, and dropped the second contest in a 6-3 verdict to the No. 6 Pirates.
