Jackets’ season ends at hands of powerhouse celina

Beating a Celina team with a 57-12 record over the past five years, including a state title, is as tough as a thirty-cent steak. Doing
so with an offensive line starting four backups, two who were involved in a car wreck the night before, made the task even more daunting. Dressing 43 players for the bi-district football playoff game at Hanby Stadium in Mesquite, Ferris, 4-6 after finishing third in District 6-4A behind Wills Point (6-4) and Canton (6-4), appeared grossly outnumbered by the 135 Wildcats in uniform.
