Fresh from graduating from Avalon, Josh Novak, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound running back, has signed with Howard Payne University. The multi-sport standout rushed for 2,487-yards his senior season.
Novak, whose grandparents live in Ennis, averaged 14.6 yards per carry and scored 47 touchdowns this year. As a junior, he eclipsed the two-thousand-yard barrier for the first time, with 2,151 and 43 TD’s.
