Paige Lemonia (20) reached double-figures in points for the third game in a row. Four players reached double-digits as Ennis blew past Corsicana, 73-21, in a girls varsity basketball game Tuesday at the Ensign gym. The Lady Lions completed a sweep of their two game series after an 80-31 win on the road three weeks ago. The triumph was the eighth in as many games as the Lady Lions improved their overall mark to 16-14 and their District 17-5A record to 6-0. ‘Cana slipped to 10-18 and 2-4. Ennis maintains a one-game lead over Nacogdoches (18-9 and 5-1). The Lady Dragons whipped Whitehouse (6-13, 1-5), 63-18, on Tuesday. Jacksonville (6-12, 2-4) held off Lindale (5-14, 2-4), 41-37, to move into a three-way tie for third place. The Lady Lions vaulted to a quick 5-0 lead when their fullcourt press squeezed a turnover, with Zacharia Story firing to pass to Paige Lemonia on the baseline.
