Lady Lions track takes second

Katherine Stuckley soars during the high hurdles. She helped launch the Lady Lions to a second-place finish at the Ennis Bluebonnet Relays last week. Racking up a season-best 130 points, the Ennis girls track and field team claimed second place in a field of eight at Friday’s annual Bluebonnet Relays. Sponsored by the Ennis Noon Lions Club, senior Katherine Stuckley and sophomore Paige Lemonia earned a pair of first place ribbons. Ennis has continued to show their strength in vertical and horizontal jumps, dominating both. Lemonia (16′ 10″) and L’Derria Meyers (16′ 6″) were first and second in the long jump, while Lemonia (36′ 1″) edged out another Ennis teammate, Tyquanna Ross (35′ 6″), in the triple jump.
