Legacy on tap for Lions

No. 17 Ennis and No. 5 ranked Legacy will line-up for a preseason varsity scrimmage at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 24 in Mansfield. While no official score is kept, the coaching staffs at both schools will have their own agendas in mind as to what they hope to accomplish on the turf. Prior to the varsity action, which may last 60-90 minutes, freshman and junior varsity teams match up at 5:30 p.m. The scrimmage is set to take place 41 miles away on the Legacy High School campus at 1263 N. Main St., which is just south of Hwy 287 from the Cooper St. (157) exit. Admission could be free, though a small donation for the Texas High School Coaches Association may be sought.
