Ennis sophomore Keno (KEE-no) Castillo hurled a complete game, fourhit shutout of Red Oak on Tuesday for a 3-0 victory in the District 14-5A opener at Buddy Groom Field.
The Lions lifted their overall record to 7-6-2 overall while the Hawks slipped to 9-6-1.
It was the fourth shutout thrown by the pitching staff and second in a row, the first three against Class 6A teams.
