Lions scrimmage reveals progress

Transitioning from being touted as the 2014 Class 5A kings of the jungle to the new edition of the Ennis Lions, the team conducted a scrimmage to mark the end of spring camp.

Jack Alvarez and the coaching staff led two units of first and second stringers through an hour-long series of plays at Lions Memorial Stadium on Tuesday evening.

“I’d say it was a good scrimmage, a physical, good scrimmage” Alvarez said.
