Lions snubbed in All-District picks

Mark Warde

After winning the 2014 district championship with a 7-0 league record, Ennis football was

rewarded with the most players chosen All-District first or second team or listed for honorable

mention. An apt reason was the old adage, “to the victor go the spoils.”

This fall the 2015 Lions finished third in a season in which the league lacked a dominant

team, though on any given night, there was little that separated the top six. Early playoff exits

for all four teams, a combined post-season mark of 1-4, illustrated it wasn’t a strong year in

the league.
