The Freshman Maroon Lions dominated the host Keller Fossil-Ridge Panthers on Wednesday, but such results have come to be expected from this squad.

Ennis (2-0) broke the game open in the second half to win 30-7.

“Fossil-Ridge was a decent team, but we shot ourselves in the foot four times in the first half,” said offensive coach Brandon Layne. “It very easily could’ve been 51-7 if we don’t fumble and throw an interception in the red zone. We actually made fewer mistakes this week, but they happened in big moments.”
