National Signing Day snares six Ennis Lions

K.D. Davis ,far right, who signed last month, joins head coach Jack Alvarez and the six Lions who inked deals on Wednesday, including (left to right): Sal Castenada, Kevion Gabriel, Darius Armstrong, Brayan Gonzalez, Chris McDonald and Tycen Thompson. Six members of the 2017 Ennis football team signed National Letters of Intent as student-athletes on Wednesday in a ceremony held at the Ensign Gym. Athletic Director Jack Alvarez introduced the sextet, four whom played on the Lions defense. That unit surrendered the least number of points of any team in the seven years Alvarez has served as head coach. Defensive Coordinator Paul Willingham was among a host of staff assistants on hand to support those who took part in the National Signing Day event.
