New softball coach to be introduced Aug. 29

Ennis fans can meet Karah Kinder, the new head coach of the Lady Lions softball team, on Wednesday, August 29. High school students interested in playing for the freshman, junior varsity or varsity teams, as well as their parents, are especially invited to the 7 p.m. meeting. It will take place in the EHS Lecture Hall, which is adjacent to the library. Kinder (pronounced like kindergarten) was hired in June. She succeeds Glenn Banker, who was the head coach the past two seasons (21-25 record). He is now at Terrell H.S. Ennis, 11-11 overall, finished in a tie for fourth place in district games with Corsicana. According to Sandra Deutsch, the president of the Lady Lions booster club, members will also be voting on booster club officers during the Aug. 29 meeting. Kinder is presently coaching the freshman girls volleyball team. Read stories like this and more in your latest edition of The Ennis News. Be informed, subscribe today!
