Palmer softball rolls, 28-0

Palmer’s Lady Bulldogs played their first softball game last week. After eight of the 14 varsity softball players

left the basketball court Monday night in their bi-district championship loss to Grandview, they hit the softball

diamond running, literally. The Lady Bulldogs scored 28 runs against the Venus Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday,

playing only three innings in the 28-0 victory.

Junior Teryn Pritchett showed she is not just a leading rebounder for the Lady Bulldogs basketball team, but she

can swing a bat, run the bases, and pitch her way through the season. Pritchett led the team Tuesday, with seven

RBI on four hits, including two home runs.

Senior Madison Bateman pitched a no-hitter, striking out three batters, including the final out of the game.

Bateman also had four hits, including five quality at bats for the Bulldogs.

Senior Kendall Waddle also added two hits with her four QABs on the night. Sophomore Makynlie Martin had

three RBI in the game, while junior Courtney Chapman added two.
