Pitching woes continue for Lady Lions

Hardly the start they anticipated, Ennis, with eight of ten starters back from last year’s 26-6

team, continues to struggle like soda water against a cork.

Mired in a three-game skid, their bats have been bottled up and their hurlers have yet to hold

any of six opponents under five runs. Pitching is surrendering 7.4 runs per game, fueled by

control issues. The increase in yield is putting pressure on an offense that was expected to be

potent.
