Prachyl, Lady Rams prepare for softball season

Mark Warde

Ennis’ own, Kayla Prachyl, is preparing for her sophomore softball season at Ft. Worth’s Texas Wesleyan University. Majoring in athletic training, she is also serving the role of Pied Piper.

“I love the school,” she said last week at a basketball doubleheader. “It’s close to home for Ennis and area athletes, and I’d love to see more of them come here.”

The 5-11 Prachyl started all 45 games in a freshman year that saw her earn All-Sooner Athletic Conference honors on the second team. Batting left-handed, she hit .331 and drive in 24 runs. The RBI total was third highest on the Lady Rams.
