Red Oak hands Ennis 78-52 loss

Surrendering 70 or more points for the eighth time in 11 outings, Ennis slid to 0-3 in District

14-5A and 1-10 overall with a 78-52 drubbing at the hands of Red Oak in a Monday matinee.

The Hawks, 1-3 and 7-8, were tied for last with Ennis prior to the game.

Andrean Johnson, a lanky, 6-9 senior, scored 28 to pace Red Oak to their seventh in a row

over the Lions. The hosts led 22-8 after one quarter and were on top at recess, 46-18.

Ennis had a pair of players reach double figures in junior guard Eugene White, who netted 14,

and 6-6 senior forward Ismael Carino, with 12.
