SAGU wins conference opener versus Oklahoma City Univ.

The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) men’s basketball team won their first Sooner Athletic Conference(SAC) game of the New Year against the No. 14 ranked team in the NAIA, Oklahoma City University (OCU), 91-81 on Thursday evening. The Lions came out dominant in the first half against OCU and went into the locker room with a 16 point lead. Going into the second half with a score of 52-36, the Lions continued their strong run to the very end and came up on top 91-81. Key team players of the game were Jalen Petillo with 10 rebounds, Darney Sims with 13 points, Joshua Kashila with 19 points, and Cameron Hill with 26 points.
