Thompson, Graff, Davis top list of honorees

After steamrolling through their five-game district schedule, outscoring the opposition 208 to 52, Ennis enjoyed the spoils by having 20 players named to the All-District 17-5A team. Coaches from the six teams met the week after regular season to cast their votes for the best performers during the district season, and Ennis swept the top four awards, which are referred to as district superlatives. The balloting has one restriction – coaches cannot vote on their own players, When the dust had settled, the Most Valuable Player overall went deservingly to Tycen Thompson, the senior halfback and wide receiver. The Offensive MVP was a unanimous selection in Ennis senior quarterback Kademon Graff. K.D. Davis, one of 16 seniors chosen, was the Defensive MVP at outside linebacker and safety.
