Top ‘Dawgs excel at camp


Palmer Varsity Cheer Team, consisting of (top row, left-to-right) Jenifer Mikel, Jessey Caldwell, Savannah Cox, co-captain Kelcie McCasland, captain Presley Spurgeon, Madison Toth, mascot Mackenzie Frederick, Hanna Beasley, (front row) Kelly Spence, Bailey Martinez, Molly Zagala, Kyley Wilhite, Krystin Gamble and Ashton Poole. Expectations are mounting as the Palmer varsity cheer team racked up honors at summer training camp. The squad received the highest grade awarded earlier in the week at Tarleton State University, who hosted the National Cheerleaders Association event. Allison Kemp (not pictured) is the coach of the team. Presley Spurgeon is the captain and Kelcie McCasland the co-captain. Mackenzie Frederick won an award as the top mascot as Palmer’s Lady Bulldog.
