Tyler to host Fresh 15

Runner registration is expected to sell out for the 5th annual Fresh 15, which includes a 15K, 5K and a 1K kids race. The races are slated for March 3 by the Brookshire’s in Tyler. A competitive prize purse totaling $22,000 is being offered for the top finishers of the 15K race. For more information on registering, either to run or volunteer, visit bgcracing.com . All proceeds will be donated to non-profit organizations that provide strength, stability and safety for families in East Texas and surrounding areas. The Fresh 15 has raised over $500,000 for charities in the past four years. Since the inaugural race, over 16,000 runners and 2,400 volunteers have participated. To celebrate the 5th year, the bar has been raised to include new features and improved race day extras. The 15K and 5K race courses give a scenic view of South Tyler, which starts and ends by Brookshires. Race-bibs will be required for entry. There will still be a public vendor area and live band performance featuring The Spazmatics. Read stories like this and more in your latest edition of The Ennis News. Be informed, subscribe today!
