UIL ruling affects Class 5A football playoffs


An Ennis player makes a tackle in a game against Corsicana. Although the rule changes proposed won’t present problems every week for teams, they could at some point affect Ennis. Football playoffs for Class 5A teams will follow the direction that Class 6A teams have in recent seasons, which awards home-field advantage in the first round to the team which finished higher in its respective district standings.
