Wet weather a bummer for Little League

This spring season has been bleak, to say the least.
A season normally known for baseball and softball has seen only about half the Ennis Little League games it normally does to this point, and a field with newly laid grass has yet to be used, causing some players and parents to wonder: “When are we going to play ball?”

Rodney May, an Ennis Baseball Association board member, is adamant that they will play when they can, but weather has been an issue the Little League has no control over.
“If it doesn’t rain again, we are looking at knocking out multiple games Saturday,” May said, confirming the possibility of double-headers.
