EISD police run for a cause

EISD police force members and spouses, Michael Barron, Cynthia Barron, Jeremy Scruggs, Ashley Sellers, Lizzy Gentry, Roberto Martinez, Ashley Blair and Matthew ran in Saturday’s Run for the Blue 5K race just west of downtown Dallas. A group of nine from the EISD police department and their spouses participated in the Run For The Blue 5K in Dallas over the weekend. The course was set in the Trinity Groves area. The event was held to honor the five police officers who were killed along with the eight officers injured in the line of duty in the July 7, 2016 ambush on the Dallas Police Department. “The Run for the Blue was founded in response to that attack,” said Jeremy Scruggs, who directs the EISD PD. “Monies raised go to support fallen and injured officers and their families.” Read stories like this and more in your latest edition of The Ennis News.
