Rangers Opening Day: Expect parking headaches


ARLINGTON – Nearly 50,000 people are expected to pack Globe Life Park Thursday for Opening Day. It will be the second-to-last season the Rangers play in the stadium before the new Globe Life Field opens across the street. But with the construction of Globe Life Field and Texas Live!, a new mixed-use entertainment district, come parking headaches for this year’s baseball season. The projects are being built just south of the first base gate, in a former parking area. “It’s going to be a little difficult getting to parking spaces,” said Chuck Morgan, executive vice president of ballpark entertainment. “This is the first year we’ve had two major construction projects going on at the same time.” His best advice is for fans to arrive early in order to get a spot.
