Dorothy Ann Kuchar Booth 1929 – 2019

Dorothy Ann Kuchar Booth, age 90 went peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Friday, February 15, 2019. Dorothy was one of the sweetest and most kindhearted woman anyone could meet. Her six grandchildren are the light of her eyes and she was especially joyful for them. She adored her family and her church. Dorothy loved to cook for her family and for the many events she attended. A devout Catholic, she most often was seen at daily Mass at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Ennis. She was a member of the church as well as The Catholic Daughters, The Golden Circle, and the Ennis Sewing Circle Club. She enjoyed socializing at the local events with her sisters and friends. Dorothy grew up in Dallas, Texas. Born January 30, 1929 to Albina Marie Zapalac Kuchar and Edward Nathan Kuchar, she was the oldest of 5 daughters of whom the Kuchars were Blessed. She went to nursing school at St. Paul’s Hospital Nursing Program. She worked in various areas of nursing over the years. She met her husband, Roy (Hanley Royston Booth Jr.) and they married on April, 30, 1968. They were blessed with two children, Marie Booth Novy, and Hanley R Booth III. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hanley Royston Booth Jr., her sister, Lillian Stull three brothers-in-law, Charles Stull, Bernard Betik and Walter Marusak and a niece, Elizabeth Green. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Marie Novy, husband Steven Novy and their sons Nathan, Nicklaus and Nevin; her son Hanley R Booth III, his wife Cara Booth and their children Emily, Royse and Lexi. Her sisters Mary Marusak, Barbara Doughty and brother-in-law Jim Doughty and Nancy Betik. She also has many nieces and nephews and many friends who are here to carry on her life story. A Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. with a Memorial Mass to follow on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane Dallas, Texas 75220.
