Local Singers’ Latest Work Wins Praise

Tabernacle Baptist’s worship team recorded a song last week that thrilled not only church members but guests, and its popularity has quickly spread. “I have received hundreds of texts, Facebook messages, YouTube comments and emails about this song since we released it,” music pastor Brandon Hixson told the Ennis News. “I can’t believe how quickly it is taking off. We are all super excited. I have had three radio stations ask for the song already.” Hixson, known for his independent recording career as well as his work with Tabernacle, said he’s planning for the song, called “The Day Death Died,” to be part of an album he and his team will produce at the end of 2019.
