Bosqueville took Palmer to double overtime before their bid to win on a two-point conversion run was stopped just short of the goal line in a thrilling win for the visiting Bulldogs, 27-26.
“The guys were so exhausted at the end,” said HC Don Waddle, “they didn’t have enough energy left to celebrate. But I’ll tell you, they are one happy bunch.”
Bosqueville, a perennial power known for physical play along the line of scrimmage and a smash-mouth running game, delivered sharply all night. They stuffed Palmer three times after they had driven inside their 20-yard line.
