Ennis Track & Field Coach Lonnie Redning reported the Lady Lions girls team had one performer advance to the April 17 Area Meet. Sophomore Samantha Johnson, whom he describes as quite aggressive at 5-feet-tall and under 100-pounds, finished an impressive fourth place in a meet of two districts last week.

Senior Cash Hendrix (left) doubled in Adrian Satterwhite (5), a junior, with the game-winning run in the top of the ninth inning. Hendrix is currently hitting .324.

HC Casey Anderson’s Lady Lions rolled past Terrell (9-20), 24-2, on Tuesday to improve to 1912 overall. The win elevated Ennis into a threeway second place tie at 8-3 in District 15-5A.
