Accustomed to leading cheers for others, the Ennis High School varsity cheer team earned a No. 19 finish in the recent University Interscholastic League’s State Spirit competition.
Held in Fort Worth, the maroon bubblies, facing 57 other Class 5A Division II teams, placed No. 17 in the band chant, were No. 30 in crowd leading and then soared to No. 6 in the state in Fight Songs.
