Tony Medina

Tony Medina, 84, of Ennis, Texas, died peacefully at home on Saturday afternoon, August 20, 2022.

Tony was born October 15, 1937, to Consuelo Garza Medina and Juan de Dios Medina in Se­ guin, Texas, where he was raised with his six sisters. He married his beloved wife, Sylvia Salinas,

on August 2, 1959. They were blessed to celebrate their 63rd wedding anniversary.

Tony was a proud graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1962 and en­ joyed a lifelong career spanning over 50 years in his field of expertise.

He is survived by his wife Sylvia; his three sons: Mark and wife Tammie, Steven and wife Stephanie, and Brian and wife Erin; three grandchildren: Daniel and wife Mayra, Michael and wife Sandra, and Nich­ olas; and eight great­grandchildren: Adrian, Eliana, Lorena, Cruz, Tony, Santino, Laurel, and Alex. Ad­ ditional survivors are his sisters: Tina Herrera and husband Alex, and Stephanie Ozuna and husband Alex; as well as much loved nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters: Lydia Flores, Diega Salinas, Janie Gutierrez and Isabel Gaytan.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2022, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. with Rosary at 5 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Mon­ day, August 29, 2022, at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepo­ mucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father Fred Caldwell as celebrant. Private interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direc­ tion of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
