Dear Editor,

Lt. Colonel Allen West announced his candidacy for Governor yesterday, July 4th, in an inter-racial Church. I hope everyone will give his candidacy and views serious consideration. He’s a Christian Constitutional Conservative who looks to our Founding Documents as the key to a vital, inclusive, prosperous and patriotic 21st Century America where all people are judged not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. And the character of Lt. Colonel West is on display not only in his military service to the Country, in his dedication to his family or in his views on Immigration, School Choice, Abortion etc, which align with the views of most Republican voters, but with the special emphasis he gives and gave in announcing his candidacy to the urgent issue of human and sex trafficking, a blight and curse on 21st Century Texas. It is vicious and widespread. But it is an issue few want to talk about and almost no one wants to address. Lt. Colonel West will address it. For that alone, he’ll get my vote.
