Hubbard cooled the jets of a hot Avalon volleyball team that entered the playoffs on an 8-1 run, with a three-set sweep to oust the Lady Eagles. The Jaguars took the allimportant first set, a draining 25-23, thriller.

Three of the area’s Big 5 volleyball teams have reportedly clinched playoff berths.

Dee Johnson became the 16th player in school history to rush for over 200-yards and scored three touchdowns to ignite a 66-21 Ennis rout of a listless Crandall team.

Is the competition within the district that determines the best teams. Like separating wheat from the chaff, the better skilled teams that produce will remain after the process of threshing.
