Palmer earned the second of two wins against local rival, Scurry-Rival, 53-45, on Friday. Outscoring the Wildcats in each of the first three quarters allowed the first place Bulldogs to carry a 40-31 advantage into the final eight minutes.

Senior guard Micah Brown (14), blessed with quickness, vision and wantto, earns his place in HC Jerry Mason’s rotation. Brown speeds up the game on both ends of the court, especially as a defensive player.

Rice (20-8) continued their hot streak last Friday when they whipped Eustace (13-17), 46-35, on the road. The Blue Hounds built a 39-21 lead through three quarters and coasted to victory. A decisive 16-2 third quarter was the difference.
