Most are familiar with the safest modes of travel. When making judgements, the numbers determine that airplanes are easily the best choice. But not for me. Placing gear in the overhead bin and then strapping in, and the clouds - while appearing cottony soft, have no appeal to this commuter. Is it a fair assessment?

Change, we’re told, is inevitable, accept from a vending machine. It is also true that, unless we change, we will always be the same. While there are elements of change we tend to like, yet alterations are often met with resistance.

Becoming a Christian should mean entering a fellowship with other Christians. Virtual church is not a substitute for God’s plan for His people.

Midterm elections are just around the corner, and it is plain to observers that a lot is at stake. Both sides are busy trying to sell the November 8 as a battle for the soul of the nation, and they could be right.

Tuesday at City Hall drew a standing room only audience who, to borrow a phrase from the 1800’s in America, sounded as though they were loaded for bear.

There are some things we dare not question. Momma’s cooking. Who was first, the chicken or the egg. Sweet Tea, was it invented or discovered. Do we have a free will or is everything predestined. Texas, a state, a country or state of mind. Orange, first on earth as a fruit or color. Soul mates, real or convenient.
