Junior QB Zander Hinton had his best outing ever against Terrell. He completed 21 of 32 passes for 373-yards and 5 TDs. He also ran with the ball three times for an additional 59-yards. His 432-yard effort sparked the Lions to a 36-35 lead with two-minutes to play. The visiting Tigers scored on their next play to win, 41-36.
Volleyball seasons winding down
Sunnyvale bullies Ferris, 45-6
Sunnyvale (3-3) used a quick-strike passing attack to build a 24-0 halftime lead enroute to a 45-6 win over Ferris on Oct. 11. While the Yellowjackets (2-4) outrushed the ‘Vale, 189-137, it was sophomore QB Cayson Maupin, who was true on 18-of-23 passes for 311-yards and 5 TDs, that dominated the game for the Raiders.
