Eustace scored the final 10 points in the game to stun Rice, 38-31, on Tuesday. A questionable call on an apparent air-ball of a would-be three-point basket was a ruled a foul on Rice, with a bench technical added to the fracas. The late turn-of-events triggered ten unanswered points by the visiting Bulldogs (4-16, 1-1) over Rice (4-11, 0-1) in a District 18-3A contest.

Two teams struggling to develop offensive chemistry will meet when the Ferris Lady Jackets (6-15, 1-2) entertains Venus (4-18, 0-4) on Jan. 6. On Tuesday, Jan. 10, the Stingers trek to Hillsboro (14-7, 0-4) and take to the road on Jan. 13 for a game vs. Godley (17-6, 3-0).

Rice treks to Palmer (18-8, 1-3) on Friday, Jan. 6. They swept the series a year ago by 14 and nine, and have a 6-2 lead over the past four years.
