An 85-mile trek north was a trip worth the taking for Palmer. The Bulldogs scored twice out of the gate and cruised to a 43-10 conquest of Pilot Point on Oct. 4.
Palmer swept Rice, 3-0, on Tuesday, 25-20, 25-19, 25-17, to lift their overall record to 22-12 and are currently sitting in third in District 18-3A with a 4-2 mark. Rice, the home team, slid to 16-13 and 0-5.
