An 85-mile trek north was a trip worth the taking for Palmer. The Bulldogs scored twice out of the gate and cruised to a 43-10 conquest of Pilot Point on Oct. 4.
Palmer swept Rice, 3-0, on Tuesday, 25-20, 25-19, 25-17, to lift their overall record to 22-12 and are currently sitting in third in District 18-3A with a 4-2 mark. Rice, the home team, slid to 16-13 and 0-5.
Junior Kylah Smith checked all of the boxes during Tuesday’s home match with Crandall. She served aces, made several blocks and hammered clutch kills as the Lady Lions battled fiercely in a 5-set loss.
