Michael Halla, an attorney that several area cities employ, was arrested this past week and charged with a count of manslaughter for a crash that occurred in Ferris on Nov. 15, 2021.
Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) conducted the 14-month investigation, which drew criticism for its duration in filing charges as well allowing Halla to bond out after only one night in jail.
