Peace is not something we go out to create, to get “brownie points” with God. Peace is what happens in the heart of the man and woman who knows God. He necessarily is a peace maker. When we have interpreted the Gospel in some other way than the kingdom, the all-important thing was to get people in the church, to prove the church to be right, but look what happened.
