Two improvements for Fire Station No. 2 were approved, each unanimously, by the City Commission on June 6.
The first relates to the need for replacing a piece of asphalt with concrete on the 900 block of Jones Avenue, which runs parallel to the station on E. Martin Luther King Drive. Fire apparatus (trucks) entering the station from Jones Ave., can wear down the asphalt as they turn in.
