Downtown Ennis has enjoyed a decade of renewal since a tornado toured and tore-up buildings on Ennis Avenue in May of 2013. Last month the city had three entries in the eleven categories named as finalists in the 2023 Texas Downtown Association President’s Awards Program, and one of them, Fern in the Wild, took home the top honor in Design for Best Commercial Interior.
