Ennis Firefighters snuffed out a pair of night fires this week, one requiring two fire engines, the other involving only a brushfire vehicle.
A week ago, Friday, Oct. 21, a northbound tractor-trailer caught fire on I-45. It appeared to be a total loss with flames beneath the trailer and as well as coming out of the front and rear. Billowing black smoke filled the air.
